If we want better gear for women we need more female designers who love the outdoors.
But there’s a problem. . . Too many women never start on their great ideas for lack of funding, support, and mentorship.
So how do we create change?
The Pay It Forward Grant
As a community we will provide “Pay it Forward Grants” that will be funded by DONATIONS, PRE-PRODUCTION ORDERS and 10% PORTION OF ALL PROFITS from this site.
Each time a purchase is made on this site we donate 10% of the profits to the grant.
Example: If we sell just 5,000 E2T Adventure Hoodies we can help a designer to do their first production run.
If we sell 10,000 Kula Cloths, we not only help Kula Founder Anastasia Allison to create more awesome designs with her revenue, which supports female artists, we then fund another start-up to create better gear for us.
We all win!
Female gear designers will be able to submit their ideas in any stage of production. If chosen they will be given a grant based on current need that doesn’t need to be paid back within a time frame or at all if they don’t succeed.
All designers accepted into the program will have access to a business mentor, who knows the gear industry, to help them succeed.
Their progress will be featured in our community so they can get real time feedback on what women actually need, instead of what is thought to be needed.
Pre-orders for the product up to three months in advance of production.
When they succeed they will be asked to mentor the next grant recipient. And when they really succeed it’s our hope that they will pay back the grant so more woman can be funded.
This way we come together as women to activate change that supports us all.
You as the consumer get the gear you need.
They as the designers get funded.
We as a community overcome the patriarchy.
How do I get involved?
Speak Up! Fill out the survey. We need to know the true aspect of the problem women face when buying and utilizing gear. Your voice matters.
Buy from the store. Even if it’s just a sticker, it helps us keep the lights on and to support manufacturers who are making the gear we need and want. The more revenue we generate as a community the more we can influence the market and help LAUNCH female designers.
Be an active part of the community. Comment and share E2T Adventures blog posts, podcasts, and youtube videos.
